Where It Excels
PotPlayer, like many of our App Directory picks, shines in its sheer number of settings. We do wish it could save those settings on a per-video basis like SMPlayer, though. In addition, it’s pretty young, and still technically in beta, so it’s possible you could experience some bugs (though many have found it more than stable enough for daily use). Lastly, as a Korean program, you’ll find tiny bits of the program are still in Korean, but it’s nothing that would hinder you from using it—just a button or two here and there. All the preferences have been translated well.
The Competition
PotPlayer isn’t perfect, but we’ve yet to find a video player that is. It will play a lot of files, but if it ever doesn’t, we recommend having a backup video player on hand (no matter what you use as your primary player). Here are a few of your options.

Ah VLC. VLC is a portable, open-source (or strictly, GNU LGPL licensed), cross-platform, free media player. It earned its reputation a long time ago as being one of the first "play anything" media players to really take the web by storm. It's never been the only one, but it always had a reputation for making the process painless, being fast and flexible, and packing just enough features to make users happy while simultaneously giving advanced users the control they wanted over their videos and movies. It sports a number of optional third-party plugins to extend its features, supports skins and themes, and as its reputation implies, it really does play just about anything you try to put through it. It doesn't hurt that there's a build for it for just about every desktop OS and flavor of *nix you can think of, making it an excellent all-around player for any device or platform.
VLC isn't perfect, none of the players here are—its UI has gotten a bit cumbersome over the years, and as an application it's definitely fallen victim to its share of bloat. - After doing on the all drive restart your computer and now you will free from Autorun.inf virus.
Method 2:
- Open Command prompt using above method.
- Now select infected drive and type attrib -s -h *.* /s /d in the command and hit Enter.
- Now type dir and press Enter. It will show content of this drive and check if there is an unusual .exe file or Autorun.inf file.
- If you find any unusual file then rename it by typing Rename filename.extension newfilename. For example if you find Autorun.inf then type rename autorun.inf auto and press Enter.
- Now you can use the drive without affecting the virus.
